Don't you just wish...
oh, I feel ya! I got out my sewing machine and made alterations on all the simple stuff- and I was lucky enough to have an OH friend in the area who gave me all the stuff she sized out of, so currently I'm set for bottoms. The other thing I got was a $150 dollar gift certificate to Torrid for Christmas. I got an extra 10% off because they had a gift certificate promo when my mom bought it, and I get 5% off as a Diva, and then I waited for the 50% off clearance, and I bought stuff that was cute in every size below me that they had. So now I have at least 1-2 outfits in each size and it's encouraging to try them on from time to time as I get closer to fitting in them.
I would encourage anyone else who has this problem to try to find other people in your area who've had surgery. Even some people who are just losing weight, because of the new years and stuff, many people may be working on dropping a size or two.
Also, shops like Rainbow and Cato have plus-sized clothes that are way cheaper than Catherine's and Lane Bryant. The clothes won't last as long, but if it's for a transition I say go for it. Avenue can be okay, I find it hit or miss.
Finally, what size are y'all? I may have some I could pass on, or you may already be too tiny for me!

As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!
thanks, jaci! y'all are such a wonderful self-esteem booster ;)
rachel- yeah, I can't help ya with 16s. I just got into them myself (flippin sweet, cause I don't ever remember being small enough to wear a 16) but unfortunately, none to give up.
