Fat girl mentality!
So, I just have to vent about the "fat girl" mentality. So, I see a lady yesterday in the store. She comments on how cute my baby is. She asks "how old is she?" I reply....she is 3 months. She says, "wow....you don't look like you just had a baby?!?!?" "You look AMAZING" So, of course I reply, "THANK YOU, thats SWEET"
What I really wanted to say was....."NO I look like a fat slobb that needs a tummy tuck!" I think I need help!
Even when I get on the scale and see 134 lbs. I then look up and see myself in the mirror and still see 230 lbs. ERRRRR I swear the "fat girl" mentality NEVER GOES AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
End of rant!

Keep your chin up girl. You look AMAZING....but I know me saying that isn't enough. Give your mind some time to catch up with all of the weight you've lost.
I haven't had my surgery so you may be telling me the same thing next year, who knows!
I just wanted to tell you....even though you are experiencing the "fat girl mentality" I look at you and I see hope for myself.....so know that even if you aren't inspiring yourself right now.........you're inspiring me!!! So THANK YOU!!
Best of luck...and I hope your mind catches up to the new you soon!

Thanks Tara!
You would think that I'd be fine by now....I mean come on I'm almost 18 months post-op! I think maybe it's more my hormones tryin' to get back to normal after the baby. Who knows? Just goes to show me that I may never over come the feeling of obesity.
I hope I don't see you posting this next year.....I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
Your a sweetie!

I think it will eventually catch up. I have moments like that all the time. Just yesterday a guy coworker of mine was wheeling two carts through the hall, we have a joking kind of friendship so I purposefully stood right in the middle of the hall, to make him go around me, well he didn't go around, he spread his arms just wide enough that my body split the carts, one went around each side and I had to duck to go under his arm. That probably made no sense, but the point is, I was expecting him to have to stop, reroute and go completely around me because I still see myself as huge. From what i understand this is completely normal and I think eventually our minds will catch up.
Hey Ash! You still have to be proud of that weight loss. I dont know if youre able to do this but I was seeing a therapist for awhile because a lot of baggage came with that weight and I just needed another perspective. It's been helpful and I plan to continue going if I find myself in one of those "fat girl" mentality moments.
Congratulations on your baby!!!
