HELLO & HELP
I dont think I have posted on this forum but I have definitely been lurking around reading the other post. I am so happy to see so many people my age using the surgery and having it benefit their lives. So a little background on me... had the band done in 2004 --- hasnt worked FOR ME and now am going for a revision to Gastric Bypass... Wish I had done this first but it is what it is.
Right now I am on a mandatory 6 months diet for the insurance company and I am GAINING weight. I really cant seem to bring my weight down and it's killing me... I wanted to know what foods should I be eating because I am going about this all wrong and the nutritionist wasnt too much help.. So if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
P.S I have started walking... not much but I am trying plus I lift weights... not alot but I do a few sets a day.
Thanks for the reply. I have about 3 more months of dieting to go so hopefully I can get insurance approval as soon as I am done...I plan to be on the losers bench by April!!!

I'm sorry that the band isn't working for you, i knew when they gave me the choice that I'm not patient enough and me and that band would fit. my nut here are insanely great not sure that's a real word but you know what i mean. I will not lie the first 2 weeks of this is hell but after that is a cake walk. excuse the pun...lol okay so i weight 295 when i walked in the door for 3 months for breakfast i had a protein shake and believe it or not it was filling. now you can change it up bc lets face it after 3 months does not matter what flavor it is the shake is going to get old. sometimes i would maybe stop at McDonald's get a bacon egg and cheese biscuit just no biscuit just one and i was golden or if McDonald's was busy get a lunch-able and just eat the meat and cheese. now i had 6 hours from breakfast and lunch so i had a snack it was a protein bar or in most case the left over lunch able. lunch whatever i wanted really it needed to be protein first 2 vegs and some fruit as a treat. they gave me fruit bc i was a sweet eater not so much after my ryn. i only ate the fruit if i was having a sweet cravings and sometimes that was my snack. i would go to taco bell get a nacho with no chips extra tom and lett and i ate slow. i would take a bite relax for about 2 mins take another. now i did cheat if i had a burger i didn't have any bun but i did have the fries. okay afternoon snack, keep in mind i work 10 hours a day so 13 hours of the day I'm not home. so about 2 hours after lunch normally i wasn't hunger i had a snack again protein bar or shake. dinner i had already seasoned chicken or steak single serving ready just had to put it on the foremen 10 mins I'm ready. i went to the supermarket and they have these indiv servings or vegs takes 3 mins in the microwave, plus i still got to eat fruit at the end if i was still hunger but i never got that far girl let me tell that was so good eating. that was my day when ever i thought i was hunger at work i drank water and normally it went away. now bc my day starts at 7am and ends normally about 11pm you can change the food around how you need to as long as you get it all in. it sounds like the Atkins but its not its how a rnyer should eat after. now if you want something get it just dint make it a habit.
