tomorrow = surgery

hey everyone... i just wanted to swing by and drop a couple lines... well tomorrow is my surgery and i am completely nervous. so far today i had a couple back out attempts. i am mainly scared of the pain. honestly.. how was it for you guys while you were in the hospital? i coupld really use some reassuring right now..

they give you pain meds use them if you are in pain i was never really in pain except right out of surgery in recovery but i dont even remember it now youll do fine just get up eventhough it will be the last thing you want to do

I totally understand where your coming from!  I am less than a month away, and having nightmares.  I never really thought about any of this part until after I was approved and the surgery became a reality.  I hope everything goes well, and my prayers are with you!

To top it all off I just got my MONTHLY VISITOR!!!! Ugh, did anyone have this happen to them?!?

hi girl, don´t worry about the pain its not that bad and you are gonna have a pain pump so you are gonna be fine! about your visitor!! i had it 2. and it was not that bad. i was so scared about that. it was just a little embarasing `cuz my mom had to help me out with that. but that was it!.

Keep your eye on the prize!!!  I know for me my pain was kept under control at the hospital and I only took pain meds every other time they offered it because it made me nauseaus (so I would take it when I could take phenagrine with it).   When I got home I only took 3 or 4 pain pills during the first week.   Take it easy and if you are in pain in the hospital let them know, they want to keep you comfortable.

mariana- about "Aunt Flow" .. were you able to wear a tampon or pad in the OR, or nothing at all?

 

 OMG...My monthly visitor came when I was at the hospital peeing in the cup for my pregnancy test right before surgery. Dont worry. They said it is very common. They gave me a pad and I was able to keep my underwear on under my gown until surgery. Right before surgery they gave me another pad  and I had to hold it on with my underwear off and then they put one underneath me on the operating table. It should stop during the surgery anyway they said. No biggies. Just make sure you let your nurses know, thats all. Good Luck!!!!

I didnt feel much pain in the hospital. I was naughty and didnt take it easy like the doctor said so I was in a bit of pain. Take your vitamins, take your pain meds when necessary, and just relax! You'll do great! Congratulations!
