I did it and I am home!!!
I had my surgery on Friday and came home Saturday evening. Everything went well and I had no complications. I was actually suprised that it was better than I thought. I of course am having pain and some rumbling on my stomach (is that gas) but other than that I am ok.
I almost chickened out in the pre op room but they gave me this AWESOME drug that relaxed me and I was laughing and everything. When i woke up in recovery I was all wide eyed and bushy tailed that the nurse said that she hardly see's that lol.
I was up walking about 3 hours after surgery and feel that I would of walked sooner if the nurses would of aloud me! My only complaint about my whole procedure is my care at the hospital. I mean I don't feel that they were checking on me enough and doing their job. I know that they have other patients but it was to the point where I pushed my button 3 times in a hour to get them in there. They brought me my tray and left, I may be wrong but I would assume that they wanted to make sure I was drinking enough and all that good stuff. My husband bascially had to take care of me the whole time. He was doing things they should of been doing. My doctor was GREAT though and was really sweet.
Well I just wanted to let everyone know that I am home. I am on my liquid diet and am trying to drink every hour but it's difficult because I have been sleeping alot. But I will step it up. Thank you all for your support.
