3 days post op and wanna eat real food....help
Ya I know how you feel, it does suck a lot lol! I just had the surgery on wednesday and got home on friday. It is really going to suck for me because I have an engagement party on Dec. 27th and we are having it catered by Cameron Mitchell (who has like nine 5 star restaurants in Columbus, and also my favorite food), and we are also going to have a open bar, and I am going to be sipping on my water and jello while everyone else gets to enjoy all that amazing food lol. But it is SO going to be worth it in the long run when I am healthy and happy and actually look good in my wedding dress lol.But so far one of the better things I have tried is a shake my dietitian made (if you like peanut butter or banana you will like this).
Peanut Butter Shake:
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 banana
2 tbs. peanut butter
1 tbs. imitation vanilla
3 ice cubes
1 packet splenda
And then all you have to do is blend it and you are good to go, but I also add beneprotein to it to add 7 more grams of protein (and the shake is already packed full of protein!).
But as far as you having difficult times w/ food, all I can tell you is that I know it is hard, but in 3 weeks or so you will get more options, and so on and so on until you can eat normal food again! And when that day comes you will be so happy you stuck to it. Besides it is also VERY IMPORTANT that you do not eat solid food right now, if you did it could cause SERIOUS complications (which I am sure you are well aware). But good luck w/ your diet, I know you can do it and I will be doing it right along with you.

I hear your pain. I had to stay on the liquid diet 2 weeks after the surgery. Jaci's suggestion was great sugar free popsicles saved me. Mainly because it takes awhile to suck it down and its just so refreshing. I wish I had great advice but all I can say is...these are mere moments of your life and in no time you will be eating again.
