How long did it take for people to drive again?
What about returning to work?
What about school?
I don't have someone to drive me around and to my doctors apointments and my doctor is 30 mins away and I got kids I got to take places. I can't afford to stay off of work very long I am a CNA and take care of a little boy who is Autstic there is no lifting no nothing we sit and just read most of the day and then my second job is just a desk job that I don't do anything at really. and then last but not least I can't miss much school I can't afford to and I don't want to fail my classes school is very important to me.

Thanks everyone!!
~Valerie~

I drove the day after my post op so about a week and a half after surgery. I personally didnt return to wor****il about 6 weeks out but only because i couldnt- i work at a pre-school/daycare and my boss wouldnt let me come bac****il i had NO lifting restrictions. But most people go back a lot earlier than that, so you should be fine, just ask your doctor. As for school i had my surgery the beginning of June so when classes started back the end of august, of course i was fine heh.  Good luck with everything!!

I was driving within a week but it was not comfortable. Especially with the incisions on my left side. I returned to work after two weeks, my doctor suggested a month but I didnt think it would be necessary. I was wrong...I should've taken the month. Even though the pain was tolerable, there was still the exhaustion, and getting use to my new eating and vitamin routine! I had trouble keeping up with my school work and have had to ask for an extension in two of my classes. I would suggest letting this time be more about you and the healing process.

Right before the surgery I ended a 5 year relationship. This person was suppose to help me heal and get back on my feet. It's so important to have HELP and a support system. This surgery has its dark moments but it doesnt last long but while its there its good to have people surround you with positive energy. I mean sometimes I just needed help getting into the car or doing the dishes. You definitely, IMO,need someone around who can just HELP.

I have the ticker thing on my page. There should be an option to post it like on different formats. Are you trying to get it on your page or signature?

Hey Valerie,
I went back to work after 2 weeks off. I did start off working half days because it's true that you feel really lethargic and my mom dropped me off those half days since I was still taking the pain medicine. Your body is going to be out of whack for a while anyways so I would go back when you feel up to it.

Oh and this is how you get the weight ticker thingy.
Never copy and paste the link. You have to right click on the picture and copy it into your signature line. Then once you have it in your signature line and you need to update it, all you have to do is click on the ticker and it will take you to the ticker factory to edit your ticker and once you edit it, it automatically updates it in your signature line, there is no need to copy and paste again.

Hope this helps!!!
