I survived!

10 days post, and all is well.  The first few days SUCKED!  I didn't know a human being could tolerate that much pain.  Anybody else wake up screaming?  Maybe I am just a wimp.

Took a week or so to get the hang  of this new eating regime.  I definetely wasn't getting enough protein or water last week, but I am starting to improve on that.  I promised myself I wouldn't count for the first two weeks, just do my best.  Started my vitamins 1 week out.  So far I have only forgot a couple.  But in my defense, I was sleeping!

Other than being amazingly tired, things are getting much better.  I am back at work, and taking it easy, inasmuch as I can.  I take naps in my office   but don't tell!  I lost 9 lbs in one week on my scale!  Soo cool!

Just wanted to check in, see y'all around!

Thanks!

I feel like I am doing OK.  It took a few days to get it together, but it almost feels "normal" now.  I thought it would take longer.

Now just waiting to see those numbers on the scale melt away.  LOL

i`m sorry you had bad time. but make sure you wake up to take your vitamins. use a alarm clock
at that stage its very important to get your vits and fluids. in order to keep your energy up.
good luck and hang in ther its gonna get much better, you`ll see.
take care

Thanks Mariana.

You are right, of course about the vitamins.  I really thought I was going to wake up and have supper when my bf got home.... I just didn't.   Ooops.  I wasn't too worried about it, bcz my surgeon said start the vitamins after 2 weeks, so I figured no harm no foul.  But I think that next time I WILL set an alarm.  Better safe than sorry, right.

Fluids and protein are still a struggle, but Much better today.

Thanks again!

Thanks Tenille!  I am so excited to be feeling like a human being again...  I bet you that that is in part at least from the vitamins.

I will get better at them -- I will!

LOL -- not really, I just didn't have a choice.  I am a surgical resident, and I could only get the 6 days off.  The first few days back were a little hard, but I am almost back to normal, me thinks.

Thanks!
