I just came back from my nutritionist and thats why i know this
when you don't consume your protein that you need your body begins to break down muscle protein in order to obtain it.. than everything you eat it stores as fat...therefore doing the opposite of what you want wls to do...therefore it is VITAL to get your protein in everyday

I stopped protein suppliments at 6 months out... I get all my protein from food.
During the losing phase 40% of my calories were to be protein, during the maintenance phase 30% of my calories should be protein - I aim for a minimum of 80g protein a day.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)
1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)
