Tennille,
I am so glad you posted this question- I have been fighting with this A LOT since my surgery and I was super upset cause I felt like I just couldn't shake it off. I keep sleeping all the time, not being excited about stuff, just kinda feeling like Eyore, which is so very much unlike me. I even went so far as to ask my roommates whether they thought I was depressed. I was/am seriously concerned.
I told my doctor I have no energy, which is a big part of it, and he said it may take like 2-4 more weeks for my body to adjust to its new patterns; he said it was common. I guess I just started wondering if all these post-op people really were feeling tons more energy or if they just were seeing everything through rose-tinted glasses, or if it was just me.
I guess regardless of what it is, the solution is just to ride it out. but it really helps to know I'm not alone. And you aren't either.

As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!
Hey Ann,
I guess its something people dont really talk about. Maybe because it doesnt last as long. I was seeing a therapist before this and saw her again today. She was so enlightening. She told me it was perfectly normal and that any time your body goes thru a drastic change like ours has some mood issues were likely to follow. I'm sure mine doesnt help because I just broke up with someone that I had been with for 5 years.
She told me to stay active and allow my body to heal. Which I'm going to do. Things have been getting a lot better. My body has been healing and I've definitely been losing weight. Give me a holler anytime you need someone to talk to! :)
