7 month Post-op needs help...
So, I haven't been around lately because I just got a new job and Im moving to the other side of the state. So things have been really crazy trying to tie up all my loose ends and such. But Tuesday will be my seven-month surgiversary and it has definetly been a whirlwind of events, let me tell you. haha But you guys probably already know!
Anyways, The reason for this post is because I've been having a problem with tiredness lately. No matter how much sleep I get, getting up is hard to do. It's feels like I yawn all day everyday and Im always tired no matter how long or short my days are. I need to find a solution to this problem A.S.A.P.!! Any help post-ops can offer is much appreciated! =]]
Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.-Isaiah 40:31
Make sure you are eating every few hours.. 2-3, check out low glycemic index foods and stick to those - they dont impact the blood sugar as much, mid and high glycemic index foods cause spikes and dips in your blood sugar, when you dip you get tired. Eat balanced - protein first, then veggie/fruit lastly starch/carb - stick to whole grain, nonenriched wheat products.
Make sure you are taking vits/supps as directed and meeting nutritional goals each day. If you are not exercising start, that should help boost your energy some as well. Eat your veggies! They tend to sneak out of my diet and when they do is when I lose energy... I not only feel better when I eat them but I am able to function a lot better as well.
It may take time for your energy to balance out, so stick with it... if it gets worse or continues see the doc for bloodwork to make sure its not related to a deficiency.
