i had my rny surgery on 9/8/08 - after i got home i was informed to start taking my vitamins, one of course being a multi vit. well i just so happened to be filling up my vitamin holder when i looked on the back of my multi bottle. I'M SUPPOSSED TO BE TAKING 4 A DAY!!!!!!! I'VE ONLY BEEN TAKING ONE!!!!!!!!! maybe that's why i've been so fatigued! i'm so pissed at myself that i wasn't smart enough to look at the back of the bottle as soon as i got the damn thing. so this morning here i am now taking 4 of them. that's a pain in the ass, as soon as this bottle is done i'm getting a new type that hopefully only has to be taken once a day. i take my calcium, my multi, my liquid b12, then my med for my gallbladder for 6 months and my anti acid for 6 months, i believe that one is for 6 months but i could be wrong. any advice for a good multi vitamin? i was thinking about getting the bariatric vitamins from bariatriceating.com...but do you think that really makes a difference?

thanks!

My surgeon's office pushes vitamins from Bariatric Advantage. I was taking the Tropical multi-vitamin for the first 3 months after my surgery and when i refilled this month I switched to the Berry multi-vitamin and it's so much better. I take one in the morning and one in the evening. Here's their website:

Bariatric Advantage specifically makes their vits for post-WLS patients... if you look at whats in them versus whats in something OTC there is a difference - also they keep up with latest research/developments and make changes accordingly... to me its worth the additional expense/time because this surgery is for life and you want to stay as healthy as possible.
