hi, corutney.
some people say that ther`s nothing to do about the hairl loss. just take more protein. is like a stage of the surgery.
the best thing you can do is to get a hair cut, and wash your hair with natural products. it`s what I did and worked. you won´t lose much, so don´t worry.
about the biotin I thing you should get about 200 gr. i`m not sure.
Take care girlie.
hugs.

Biotin does not help hair loss - only new hair growth (and ALL your hair, not just your head).
When you start losing hair its from what happened 1-2 months ago - the surgery, the anesthesia, the lack of vitamins/nutrients. At this point you can start taking the biotin to help your new hair growth (its a water soluable vitamin so you can take as much as you want, there are high doses that are fine... just see what works for you)... make sure you are meeting nutritional goals daily and just wait it out - the hair loss will stop on its own (most say 1-4 months) as long as you keep up with your nutrition.

Hi Court...this is a normal stage of the surgery...you will lose hair no matter how much protein or biotin you take...Don't be scared of it, it will just make you feel worse. Keep up your protein and water and vitamins and it should help but you won't be able to make it stop. I had extremely thick hair and lost a lot of it...I have finally started to regain the thickness to my hair and I am 18 months out now...Good luck!

Walmart has a 5000mg tab that is cheap. That is what I take for the new growth. For my hair now I bought Nioxin. You have to buy it from an actual hair place but even the cheap ones carry it. It is supposed to help the hair you have on your head by making each hair thicker/or at least appear thicker. My hair dresser swears it works! Hey I don't care you says they don't work. I am freakin trying everything!

I'm still at least 4 months from even getting a date I wonder if It would hurt to start suplementing with some of this stuff now? I have naturally very thin hair and I can't afford to loose much.
