I need some advice

SO....Im sitting at home being lazy and I'm thinking about taking some pictures in my bathing suit, of course I'm home alone so I'll take them by myself, but I really think I want to take them and put them on here. Maybe then I'll realize how big I am...I think I have a problem where I think I'm smaller then my weight. Maybe seeing a picture of myself in just a bathing suit and not in jeans and t-shirt, I'll wake up. And it'd be good to compare pictures later on in this journey. Sound like a good idea???

I always had that problem. I was 350 and my mind's eye pictued me at 220. I would see pics where I was OBVIOUSLY not 220, but somehow I still tricked myself into believing I was 220. Honestly, you're having surgery in a week so you should take as many of those types of pics as you can.  Hell, I even took half naked pics in all of my glory. However, I would not recommend sitting around meditating on the pics, trying to convinve yourself of anything. A few months from now, you won't need to convince yourself of your previous weight... it will be right in front of your face with the before and after pics. Start meditating now on your surgery, about how good you're going to feel, about how successful you're going to be, etc. :) Cause you're gonna rock it!

totally take before pictures, then you can see your progress as you go.

even if you don't post them, TAKE BEFORE PICS...
once you hit your 6 month or 1 yr. mark, you'll be shocked at the HUGE difference....
I never even looked at my "before" pic til my 1 year anniversary...my goal was to post them side by side no matter what!...I was so scared that i wouldn't see a big difference...
BUT
I was so shocked...it was like looking at someone else...someone uncomfortable and miserable was looking back from my before pic...I'm so so happy I had it to compare!!!
do it!

I'm going to totally take a bunch of before pics...even in my underwear or bathing suit. Obviously you don't have to show people the ones of you half naked, but it's nice for you to see later the difference. Take some regular before pics and if you want ones with less clothes. You can show people or post here the clothed before pics if you want.

OMG GIRL. i`m so happy that you talk about this. i was having this conversation with a friend of mine who had anorexia. ok so here is my conclution........
anorexia is an eating desorder. ok? so the anorexic people see themselfs heavier than they are... so for consecuense......
obesity is an eating desorder. so the fat people tend to think that they don´t have a problem and see temself tiner than they are.

i felt the same way i always saw my self slimer than that i  really was. but know that i`ve lost a lot of weight i can realize now that i was very fat. jus like anorexic people realize how skiny the were.

does that sounds rasonable? hahaha LOL

i love this topic.

Not only take pictures, but measurements also!  The measurements help to keep your sanity when the scale won't budge... its mindblowing when you get the befores out... crazy!!!
