New to the group and I need some friends!!

Hello! 

I'm Emily and I'm planning on having a RNY on Dec. 8th.  I'm 26 years old, married with one son. 

I'm very excited but scared for my surgery.  I have been educating myslef about the procedure and how life will be but I was hoping to meet people who are at the same place as me or have had surgery because I don't know anyone else who's had surgery. 

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.  I hope to get to know a few people more people as I use this site more.

hi! I'm new here too and looking for friends. I'm 27 with no kids though. I don't have a surgery date yet, but that's so exciting that you do! I know what you mean about being scared and excited. this whole process is a bit overwhelming!

Welcome Emily!  I'm Rachel, 27 no kids in a relationship.  I had RNY 06/11/08 and it was the best decision I've ever made, just stay positive and you will be fine!  And as Jaci says education is key, you will learn new things all the time, just stay open minded.
