16 months post op and need some accountability

 I would really like to loss another 25lbs. at 16 months out I am maintaining easily with exercise. I need to cut the carbs!! 

Anyone have some advice for me. 

I need to just go back to basics, WATER WATER WATER and protein first!!

I have been thinking the same thing for a couple of months now. I have to agree with you by going back to the basics would be best. I have incorporated a lot of carbs back into my diet which makes me crave more carbs. I have replaced one of my meals with a protein drink and I only lost 1 pound in 2 weeks. I might try relpacing 2 meals with 2 protien drinks.

I would aim to eat balanced and healthy, not just 'cut carbs'... you should be eating 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fat. Your carbs should mainly come from fruits, veggies, dairy and then 1-2 servings of whole grains.
Another thought - even thou you would like to lose another 25lbs if you are easily maintaining then perhaps you are at a happy point. I could lose more weight if I wanted but I find my current weight very easy to maintain... I didnt want to get somewhere that I would be struggling to maintain then feel bad because I regained some weight.
I would start by looking at what you are eating and where your calories are comming from - if a few simple manageable changes get the scale moving then go for it!

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)
