Why hello...
I am new to this board and find myself so important that i must annouce my presence! (thats me being sarcastic)
My name is casey i am 24 i am also a mommy of a soon to be 2 year old. I am hopefully 3 months away from my rny!! i started the whole process in July and started making head way this month. I was told that my paper work will be submitted in november!! so yeah thats me. I was wondering for those of you that are many months out or years even about saggy extra skin, i keep being told that since i am so young i wont have a big problem with it but i assume that there will be extra skin no matter how old you are so i wanted to know if other people have had a major issue with it.
thanks in advace

Welcome to the board Casey!
As a three year post op, yes the skin sucks. But, I truly believe the location of fat, marks, pregnancy, eating, drinking and vitamins, as well as other factors, contribute to the lack of or presence of excess skin.
I personally had horrendous amounts of panni skin... so much as it hung to my knees when I stood up. Yaa... not so attractive. I had my panni removed in June of last year. I still have excess skin on my back, thighs, arms and some in my neck... but I'm totally growing to accept it until I win the lottery for the rest of my plastics.

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.
Welcome Casey! Like Jaci, I too had a lot of excess skin in the stomach area. When I lost most of my weight I looked like I had 3 tire rolls. It bothered me especially because the excess skin hung over my vagina. lol.... ( hey I have to be honest) I decided to have some alterations done to my body. 5 months ago I had a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation. I am very pleased with the surgery over all and have more self confidence. A little too much confidence now.
The surgeon removed 9 pounds of skin, the weirdest part of that is it has not reflected on the scale, I still weigh the same and I still have stretch marks.
