So at my second job tomorrow, we've been asked to bring a bag lunch since we'll be out hiking and doing stuff out in the wilderness.  I have just realized I have no idea what a bag lunch means for me now...

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?? Any and all would be very much appreciated

Thanks everyone!

A Bag Lunch, to me, means anything portable.  Jerkey (beef, turkey, venison) , peanut butter sandwhich, nuts, fruit slices.... those are things I take to rabbit and livestock shows with me.  I'm always eating my peanuts while listening to the judge comment away on my bunnies ha ha!

Good luck, Irma!

Thanks so much for the ideas on the portable items Jaci!  I didn't even think about jerkey or peanuts.  I'l have to make sure I keep them around more.

I would suggest individual packs of nuts or a protein bar (I like the brand pure protein)  also Starkist sells tuna kits, it comes with tuna, LF mayo, and some crackers,  or you could do soy crisps.  Those are a few things I keep in my cupboard incase I need to grab something and be on the go.

Also, don't forget to pack your water with you being outdoors and walking around you will want to stay hydrated.

Good luck! ~ Leslie

Thanks Leslie!!!  I totally forgot about those individual packets of tuna that are out there.  I'm glad I posted for this.  And of course the nuts and protein bar.  I think I've just realized that while I eat differently than what others may eat, I don't have to make it that difficult on myself on figuring out ways to adjust to the situation.  thanks for helping with this!

Oh, and I do have my 32 oz water bottle ready for tomorrow!  thanks for that reminder as well.
