Pre-op diet?Sad Already!

I'm on day one of the manditory pre-op diet.

Here's what I'm allowed to eat:
Pudding, cream soup,jello, popcycles, cream of wheat, and a variety of protien supplements. All of the fallowing both sugar free and fat free.

I'm already feeling sad, tired and stressed about getting this right and the thoughts of if this is the right thing to go through. Am I going to be sad all the time?... Will it get easier?... becuase right now I'm wanting to have dinner with the family, but it looks like it's cream of wheat for me.

I need some motovation please!.. Thank You.

the first three days were the hardest for me. i still have pounding headaches.. but i am a lot better. i does suck when you can't eat with family or friends.. but it all will be worth it in the end. what has saved me is if i get really grumpy and hungry.. i just go take a nap and sleep it off. you will do great :)

Way back when I was good about eating and what not, I would go exercise if I was hungry or if it was late in the evening, get ready for bed. If I brushed my teeth I wouldn't want to eat anymore. But exercise is a great appetite supressant!

I totally agree. Excersice helps me when im hungrry. Ive become somewhat addicted to excercising. I really need to think about it. Im pretty sure im just transfering addictions and thats not good. When I get hungry I go my excercise DVD that I LOVE! The music starts to get me excited and I just get really into it. My day is the day before yours, and although I dont need to do a pre-op diet I still have 7 lbs to lose. Ive already lost 18 within a month and a half off and on when I tried, but I only have like 12 more days and im starting to freak out!!! Next monday i will start a liquid diet to get the rest of the weight off and im not looking forward to it. Im a stay at home mom and it would be nice to just be able to leave with house when I get cravings or hungry but I also have my family to feed and my toddler son. So when he gets hungry and likes to snack I usually snacked with him and now I cant.. GRR!

Just keep up the good work. Its not very much longer and pretty soon you wont even be hungry! Just imagine how proud of yourself you will be after you make it through!!!! Ive never been able to workout like this and eat this healthy and im already proud of myself. So just focus on the postive and the good. Now hopefully I can use my own advice.. Goodluck!

what currently motivates me is looking at the before & afters pics here!  =) it really helps me keep my head on straight and reminds me on why i'm doing this!  brushing your teeth always helps for me because who wants to eat when your teeth are clean and minty? lol  best of luck to you!  this will be so worth it to you at the end.  it DOES get easier!

hey lindsey. do´t worry it be over before you know it. hang in there. great things will happen after this diet. it totally worth it.
