I had the gastric bypass 18 months ago and had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation 3 months ago. I was in a little more pain with the tummy tuck. Not bad. The breasts were no problem. The only major pain I had was being constipated for almost 2 weeks. I thought I was going to die!

I've had both... the Tummy Tuck was most painful due to an open rash that was exposed once the skin was removed.

Both have their own instances of pain.  I have a high tolerance for pain, just depends on yours.

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.

Hey-I am about 3 months post TT...for me, the BG was NOTHING compared to the TT. That's only because they are 2 separate procedures-the GB is usually laprascopic so you hve a few small incesions that require no care-the TT, BIG incesion and lengthy recovery period. I wouldn't  say it's horrible pain, just different, that of course depends on your incesions-it'd be comparable if your GB was open.

I saw your pictures. I actually have it saved as a favorite from weeks ago. You document your journey PERFECTLY. I hope people look back on mine and feel the same way. Right now I'm just doing PreOp babbling. So with your tummy tuck did it comes with liposuction or did you have to procedures in one?

Hey, I am glad the profile helps you-that's exactly why I keep such an accurate record-I always appreciated an honest, thurough profile! The lipo was not includedm financially but yes I had it in combination. It was "cosmetic" so I had to pay for it but doc said for the best resuts of a panniculectomy, lipo would rid me of the muffin above the belly button-which cannot be addressed with the pannic. I am VERY happy with the results, best of all it gave  my booty some shape! I had the flat butt that had  no defination atopbut he did two flank areas od lipo....SO worth the pain and brusing!
