It's great to be back in my own kitchen with my own healthy food as opposed to camp food. So let's get down to business...
8am - 4 oz espresso, 8 oz steamed skim milk, 1 oz sf vanilla davinic syrup
20 oz water
9am - 1/2 my oatmeal mixture w/ frozen berries
20 oz water
12:30pm - 5 oz seafood alfredo w/ steamed veggies
20 oz water
3:30pm - 1/2 a medium cucumber, sliced w/ 1 tablespoon of spinnach dip
20 oz water
6:30pm - 1 slice thin crust pepperoni and sausage pizza
And before I go to bed I'll have the other half of my oatmeal mixture.

Breakfast - one cup of skim milk with a packet of SF Carnation Instant breakfast (14)
Lunch - I didn't really eat what I brought to work. I had bought some organic broccoli slaw at the store the other day and I had my mom put it in a container for me and when I pulled out my lunch I realized that you have to make the slaw yourself. So, I had also brought some chicken spread so I had about 2 tablespoons of that with 6 whole wheat pita chips (6)
Snack - Slim Fast High Protein snack bar (15)
Dinner - 2 oz. of chicken stir-fry with onions, bell peppers and mushrooms (15)
Snack - 1/4 cup of crock pot cobbler (vanilla cake with apple pie filling) (1)
Consumed 69 ounces of water for the day.
Vitamins: check!
I was told to wait 30 minutes after meals, and then my surgeon told me it is okay to drink right up until about 10-15 minutes before meals, so that gives me a pretty good window. Are you sure you're supposed to wait a full hour after / stop a full hour before meals? I've heard the 1/2 hour rule over and over, but the hour seems a bit excessive (and I can see where that would make it even harder).
I have gotten into the habit of keeping a water bottle with me, so that helps, and knowing how miserable I get when I am dehydrated also helps me make a point of drinking enough. It also gets easier the further out you get.
If you're having trouble, try room temp water. I was a huge ice water drinker pre-op but post-op the frigid water was really hard on my pouch, so I've been drinking room temp water for a long time now. Also try a squirt of lemon or lime juice in plain water to help it go down easier.
Hope that helps!
