Sagging skin at younger age...

Ok so I am going to be getting RNY and I expect that I will have some saggy skin (expecially since I have had two kids being fat so my belly only got bigger)

I am just curius to know how younger skin reacts... most people who sho their baggy skin are older so I have not seen what skin looks like on younger people and I am just curious to know the extent of it. For what it is worth I am 5 ft and weigh 230 lbs....

I am hoping the younger the better in this area!

hi. uhm i do have saggy skin. but just in my arms. but i`ve always had a lot of fat in the arms area. and when i was heavier it was saggy 2.
i have a lot of riends that had surgery taht don´t have saggy skin at all . is just luck. `cuz i excersise a lot and the saggy skin stil there.
the other parts of my body are just fine.

Luck, excercise, and vitamins so I have heard. I am really hoping that having less years to my name will help. Of course I am not that young! 27...

I am expecting a horrible tummy and already told my DH that I know I can plan on a TT and maybe BA of they are really deflated (i am a DD now...)

I really do not care too much about my arms and thighs but we will see how I fair in about 2 years from now!

Hi! I also had a kid prior to WLS and have been overweight since I was about 8 or 10 years old. I think my skin isn't too unbearable. I have lots of pics posted on my blog, feel free to look through them. FWIW, I am24, 5'7" and started at 275. I'm not thrilled with my arms but I don't mind showing them.

I have pics of my excess skin on my profile - I still need 30-40K worth of PS to 'fix' my body... while its not horrible my stomach is still pretty bad... the arms, the legs and lack of boobs I could live with (only due to the large cost of the PS).

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

It was set to 'friends only', so you needed to do a friend request to be able to view.
Either way I fixed it so everybody can view it - Ill change it back on Monday so view away before then :-)

I had and still do have alot of skin. I am 24, 5'10" and down 190 pounds. My panni was so large it hit my knees when I showered and what not. PS removed 13 pounds of skin, still need some work on my back and side boobage :)

I think you will be just fine though! My arms could be alot worse had I not worked out as much as I did.
