Major Personal News:
It's been a long time, and it's been incredibly hard but this afternoon I went for a second interview after the one I mentioned last week.....
and......
drumroll please.......
I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't tell you how much this means to me. It's a major "prayer answered" and thank you to you guys who helped pray for me last week, the job situation was the biggest thing that needed to change for me start getting past the crisis I've been in.
As for the job itself, I won't go into to much detail because I'm trying to put up a bit of a velvet rope between my personal life and what people can dig up about me on the internet, but I'd be happy to share in PM or chat....I will say this though: Two years ago when I was three hundred pounds and I messed up my back I was about to take this step in the progression of my career. I've lost a lot of sleep and struggled a lot doubting if I would ever get back to this point or have to start all over in another career. So this is a major victory for me. The job is going to be very challenging but it is exactly the opportunity I've been waiting for and it is with a unique company that operates in a particular niche in my industry where my best skills also happen to be the most critical ones - so in other words my strengths will be utilized rather then under-valued....
the only downside is it's a 45 mile commute -anybody got a prius they would want to trade me for a big 4x4?
