is this normal?
many people experience lactose intolerance... for some it goes away for others it doesnt. I suggest switching to lactaid or a soy milk and try the milk again in a few weeks.

hi kaytee.
well i gues you have develope lactose inntolerant. if you can eat other dairy products. just have some without lactose. other think you can do with food that makes you sick is stop having that for about a week and then try again. `cuz sometimes your pouch is mad or something. so rest for a week or so and then have some milk. and see what happens.
good luck with that.
if you can not have dairy products. you have to be very carful with your calcium.

Yup, sounds like lactose intolerance to me. I've read many people develop it post-op because they don't have as much stomach acid to break it down. If you need that milk, time to find a good Soy version. I use Silk soy milk w/ vanilla flavor in my protein shakes. Alternatively, you can try that lactose free stuff and give that a shot.

I suggest almond milk as an alternative--Almond Breeze by Blue Diamond is the best brand I've found. It comes in original, vanilla, or chocolate, both sweetened and unsweetened. I use the unsweetened vanilla anywhere I used to use regular milk.
