Newbie Here!!

Hey Everyone, My name is Lyn, I just turned 20. I'm from Alberta, Canada and I am in waiting for my Lap RNY on September 8th. I was so glad to see there was a board for 20 somethings here..its Great!! I can't wait to meet some new people and have someone to answer my questions who has actually experienced these things (and isnt 50). Anyone Else having their surgery in September??  I cannot wait I am extremely excited.

hi lyn, wellcome to the board.  congrats for your surgery. you are gonna do great, you`ll see is easier than it sems.
i`m 5.5 months out and `this surgery has exceeded my expectations. no complications at all and feeling like myself.

I just had my surgery 8 days ago and I feel awesome... honestly if it wasn't for the minimal pain now and again from the scars (particularly the largest one on the left side) I wouldn't know I'd had surgery!

Thanks Everyone for all the good wishes, I can't wait for my surgery to be here I am so excited (and nervous)!! I'm practically all packed for the hospital stay...does anyone have any specifics that you would make sure to bring with you to the hospital?
