Tanning Beds

I was just wondering if anyone goes to the tanning bed and if so how long did you wait until after surgery to go back or start or whatever?  I went pretty regularly before my RNY and now its been about a month and a half, I'm healed up and getting white!

The only time i ever got in a tanning booth I burned bad. A coule months ago I got spray tanned but i wound up looking like that tanorexic orange douchebag Jeff Bozz from Sunset Tan so I swore to never eve do it again.

I always go to the tanner a half dozen times in early summer so that I don't fry at the beach.  So for me, it was about 5 mos post-op.  I don't see why you can't go now...  if you're unsure, just give your surgeon a call.

Hey Hun.. I'm 2 months out today actually and I went to the surgeon's office last week and I was told that it'd be fine if I started to go tanning.. Luckily for me because I'm quite the shade of white at the moment.. haha

I dont know, but it would sure be nice to be able to go to a tanning bed again. Its been 2 years... We are going to Mexico in November and my mom and I have been talking about either doing the beds or spray tans for it. I'll be about 4 month spost op when I go... Goodluck! I cant wait to not be pastey anymore...

I am a tanorexic!!  I tan 5 times a week in the bed, and spray tan twice a week,, yea its that bad!
