You take your vits before bed?  I have always been told to take them in the morning (making sure to space the calcium and iron supplements by a good 3-4 hours).  It was my understanding that vitamins are energizing, so they help you keep alert throughout the day, and on the other side of that if you take them at night they may keep you up / make your sleep less than ideal.  then again, better late than never I suppose.

Mulit-Vitamins often leave an after taste that makes me not want to drink or eat anything...it seemed like everything was tasting like vitamins.   I took 2-4 hours to pass too.  I take my B complex, and vitamin D and Calcium in the morning, only the multi vitamin at night.   So far I sleep with no problem.
