Strange Question re: Dating
There is a "singles" board on Obesity Help....

Other than that I'm not sure, maybe "google" around?

Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
If you look at the last issue of OH magazine There is a two page article on this very topic by Mary Jo Rapini the psychotherapist featured on TLC Network's Big Medicine and author on intimacy issues. The article is called Virtual Reality: Online Dating After WLS and is found right after the centerfold (featuring a story and pics by and about yours truly - sorry, shameless self promotion)...Anyways, she recommends whatever site you feel comfortable based on your preferences but her favorite is eventsandadventures.com because the emphasis is on activities and social gatherings, which allows you to get to know a whole bunch of people who have similar interests and there isn't a lot of pressure. Plus you get to be active, get exercise and can also make a lot of plutonic relationships...as for OH, like Amy said there is a singles forum, and a very lively sex after WLS forum...good luck!
When I had first started to consider dating post-op I had wondered the same thing - I checked out the singles board here (booooorrriiinng) and searched the internet - as more time passed thou I gained more confidence in myself and realized I didnt need to specifically seek out another post-WLS patient, I needed to seek out somebody who had the qualities I wanted.
Eitherway to answer your question I never found anything... Mike's suggestion was great - check out meetin.org or meetup.com for activities groups that are not dating related but you can meet all sorts of people - you can also do singles ones if you want but I found getting the feet wet in a general activity group helps a lot.

Thank you for your responses. I am not actually looking, but I was curious. For me personally, the answer to the question about being afraid of rejection is a no. I was just thinking that for 2 people that are going through/have gone through such a dramatic change, that it could help them "break the ice" per say and give them a common ground on which to stand. Although I am sure that the other possibility could be quite true, it isn't for me personally. But thank you all for the feedback!
