Hello! I'm new
Hey everyone! My name is Amy and I am 22. I live in Texas and am going to have the VSG on October 9. Anybody on here with the VSG? Is there anybody who is having surgery in October? I am so excited to have found this board. I have been posting on the main VSG board, but found the 20's board and thought I would maybe fit in a little more. It was kind of wierd with everyone being a little older than me. It was a little bit harder to relate to what they talked about sometimes. I am also looking forward to meeting a lot of new people on this board. Are there any people on this board from Texas? I hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks!

Well, I'm not in Texas, not having VSG, and not having surgery in October...but I AM in my 20s! heh...I'm 25 (26 this weekend!), and I've been overweight my whole life. I want to be able to LIVE like a 20-something for the first time in my life!
I just recently found this section for 20s, too, and I had been posting mostly in the DS section and reading around others. This part doesn't seem super active (but then, maybe I am just TOO active since I am in here reading like every hour during my whole work day!).

Ditto what Amy said...We're all young though and facing similar issues that tend to sometimes differ a bit from what our older WLS brethren deal with, so stick around and participate at whatever level you feel comfortable with and hopefully we can provide each other with some vital support for getting you through your surgery and then adjusting, coping, and flourishing going forward. Welcome to the group!
