I had a second date (new man update)!

Ohhh, the hubba hubba lovin' one can enjoy in a corner booth at McDonald's, let me tell you!!!  So here's the scoop on Date #2:  we met for lunch at McDs (I had salad)... and lunch turned into 3 hours of great conversation, a little flirty flirty and some hand holding.  He was a perfect gentleman, giving me a hug and kiss on the cheek goodbye.  It was awesome!! So should I be bothered at all that he's a bit older than me?  Our personalities match so nicely that I don't even feel the age difference.  How old is too old to date when you're 29? He asked me out for this Saturday, not sure of the plans yet, but three dates in a week?  Wowza!!  This new dating thing is so fun.  I haven't been in a relationship in almost 5 years so I feel a bit rusty. Way to go girlie!!! My boyfriend and I met one night went on our first date the next day and have been together now going on 4 months!! We are talking marriage and shopping for rings...I was a little hesitant at first (skeptical) but I just let go and it has turned out so well...Keep us updated!!!

I agree with Lisa!  As long as you're happy being with the person, why should their age matter?  Enjoy the fun!! And definitely keep us updated!

I'm 25 - the oldest i dated was 50. But that was short term - only about 4 or 5 months. Now I dated a 43 yr old for over a year and still am great friends w/ him - distance keeps us apart .  So age is just a number - it's how you connect with them. ~C

Well, I'm 29 and he's 47... so that's an 18 year difference.  I've never dated a man that much older than me before.  So it's kinda strange, but the attraction and connection factors are really strong.  Yeah!!    Now the question is, if this turns into a relationship, how the heck do I tell my mother????? My dad is 16 years older then my mom - He was a major "trout" ...I give him major props for landing my mom who was a pretty nice catch....I will say that when I was 7 and he was 60 it was a little awkward for me when hostesses at restaurants would say "aww, you want to sit next to your grandpa" - Seriously, I'm not making that up, it happened all the time...But our meals were cheap, I got the kids discount and he got the senior...just sayin'

I agree with everyone else!  Don't worry about the age thing, I sure don't.  I am 26, and the only person I have EVER dated under the age of 18 was my highschool boyfriend.  He was a year older than me.  Since him, everyone has been over 30.  I'm not sure what the deal is, I just really don't like "younger" guys.  I'm weird!  I did however, just move into a new house, and I love love love my new neighbors.  they are soo much better than the ones I used to have.  I've become quite good friends with the single dad 2 houses down .  He has a 4 yr old that just melts my heart!  He is only 27!  Good luck though!  Dating still scares the pants off me.  It's hard for me to tell myself that guys aren't just "being nice to me" anymore.
