so frustrated
Hey all, i just need to vent a little.... so i'm going for my 6th month appointment today in like 10 minutes and i got on the scale just now and im at 200lbs. i was hoping to be in onederland by today, but my body just doesnt want to leave the 200 mark!! And i've only lost like 15lbs in 2 and 1/2 months,.... i had a major stall, i don't know, i'm just getting so frustrated. I've upped my water and my exercise and last week at my college was freshman orientation which i worked so i ate gross cafe food, but i really did my best to pick options that were post surgery friendly... ughhhh i'm just frustrated.... i mean i lost 90lbs in 6months, i gotta look at it that way.... how do you all deal with this frustration? thanks!

You are actually about where I was at 6 months post-op. I lost 90ish pounds in 6 months, and lost the other 70ish pounds over the next 12 months (by 8 months it was 100 pounds down, by 1 year it was 120 pounds down and it kept on like that at about 10-20 pounds a month until I was down to 130 from 293). So you're right on track.
Think of how much more slowly the weight would be coming off (if it came off at all) without surgery. On any other "diet" or weight loss program you would be exceeding expectations by leaps and bounds. You really are doing well. Hopefully now that you've gotten through your first major stall you'll see results more quickly, but even if things seem slow remember that you definately can get to the weight you want, it'll just take time and sticking to the "rules". You're gonna get there.

hi, don´t worry you`ll lose again.
you can´t chance what you eat for a week and you`ll se results. if you are taking protein shakes, it may be to high in fat. so be careful with that. or take your protein just 3 times per week to see how it goes. and also you can stop eat any kindda carb after 6.
and exersise it be a major help.
i had a 1 month stall al 4 post op but now i`m losing again. i know is very dificult one friend told me ones.
is normal to feel that you are gonna fail againg becuase you have try so many times. but don´t worry you`ll lose if you do basics.
