It's the first official weekend of summer! Yeah! That means I officialy won't see more then maybe two days with highs below 100 degrees for at least the next 12 weeks, joy! Sorry, it's just this is the part of the year where I always ask myself if the mild winters are really worth the five months of oppressive heat. Yes it is a dry heat, and yes I complained more when I lived in the Carolinas and it was 95 and HUMID, but it's still disgusting when the breeze blows and it feels like a hair dryer and when evertyime you leave your car for five minutes in a parking lot you have to cover the steering wheel or learn to drive with two finger tips on the wheel because it is so hot....or when you jump into a swimming pool in june looking for releif and the water is so hot already that you might as well be jumping into a bathtub! How hot is it? Yesterday i read a story about a man found next to his car in a coma with third degree burns all over his body from passing out next to his car. Anyways, enough about me and my complaining about the weather, it could be worse, my house could be flooded or torn up by a tornado, so I'm grateful that everything is secure and my central a/c works... What are you guys up to this weekend? I was supposed to go to a high school reunion but have opted not to go. I went to a tiny boarding school that is now closed down, so when you combine the fact that the school is gone, most of the alumni live in other states or countries, and there were only 56 in my graduating class, and how hot it is here now, I probably would only actually run into less then a half dozen people I actually know, and to me that is not worth spending $200 on right now when I'm wondering how I'm going to keep driving my gas guzzling truck around town at $4.20 a gallon....So instead I will hang around home tonight, maybe take my kids to see Kung-Fu Panda...Tomorrow night my sisters in law will babysit for us and we'll go out for japanese food and drinks at some place called Ah-So (hope they're not AH-Soles)....I heard it is a good place for sake bombers, but that sounds sugary for me - I think I'll stick to beer or vodka as usual. Has anyone here who dumps tried sake? how did you do?

After keeping food down for 7 full days (YEA!!!!).   I feel so much better this week, I was actually bouncing around some at work today. So for the weekend....I think we are going to start looking at tile for our kitchen.   It will be our first DIY tile job, we aren't buying any until mid July, but we research everything....so we will begin the search.   We are taking our youngest dog to the vet tomorrow morning (yearly shots are due).   I hope we go to the farmer's market. Other than that I am hoping to catch up on some sleep, cleaning, laundry, and we rented some movies!   Sounds like a perfect weekend at home to me :)

Well, interesting. I am in East Mesa and I wanted to tell you 2 things 1) Kung Fu Panda was pretty good! 2) Ah-So is the BEST! I have been there 4 time. The food is great, the Sake Bombers are great & it has a great family atmosphere (I haven't had sergery yet so I can't comment on the dumping).  Just thought you should know! Marie

Today my family is hosting a horseshow for the local 4H kids to get ready for the fair next month.  I'm the showmanship judge and my dad is the riding judge.  My mom has done the admin and mailings.  Tonight I'm off dancing with the Girls and flirting he he. Tomorrow I have a rabbit meeting for my 4H kiddos and have invited the FFA chapters too!  Busy Busy. And I'll find some time to study in there too :)

Mom and I decided to go to San Antonio for the weekend! I took half a day on Friday hoping we would get here around 6 but because of some stupid traffic just right outside of Dallas, we didn't get here until 8, but we made it and we are here! My boss got us a sweet deal at the Marriott Rivercenter with a river view room for only $79 a night. We're headed down to the pool now to catch some rays and hopefully we'll be able to take some pictures and I'll post them when we get home on Sunday. I hope everyone has a Fabulous weekend. Hey, stay cool! If you can't stand the heat, get the heck out of Texas! The countdown is on....only 17 days left till my surgery!!!!!

We arent doing anything this weekend. Last weekend we went to the Hyatt Tamaya Resort and Spa and that was fun, but we spent way too much money! lol. Hubby is taking his final exam today and im just hanging out. Gas is getting too expensive for us to go anywhere anymore. We used to like to take trips on the weekends and just explore but we cant afford it anymore...  BTW- I feel for you and the Az heat. I lived in Central Phoenix last year and it was HELL! We came running back to New Mexico for cooler weather. Its only going to be about 89 degrees today! YAY! But I laughed when you talked about the hair dryer feeling.. LOL.. I know that all too well..
