Guess who is turning 2??
My 2 year surg-a-versary isn't officially until Friday but I am leaving for the beach tomorrow so figured I would post early.
Its hard to believe that almost 2 years ago I was heading into surgery. The time has gone by quickly but the person I use to be seems light years away. I finally feel like the person I always thought I was... the outside finally matches the inside. I am glad to be moving onto the next phase of my journey and looking into plastic surgery so my transformation will be complete.
Since surgery I have taken a great interest in educating myself about nutrition, exercise and the human body. I keep up with OH and my local support group because I feel both are key to long term success. I have a wonderful support system of friends, family and other WLS patients that help to keep me on track. I am 110% compliant with all my supps/vits and post-op follow ups.
I feel its important to remember that you are a WLS patient for life!! Following 'the rules' isn't an option it's mandatory... not only lose the weight, but to keep it off.
