My tummy tuck is in just under 2 months and im starting to get super nervous! For the few of you out there who have had it done, any advice for this lil lady? PS. i started back at school for unknown reasons, isn't one degree enough?! So i've been so crayzy busy and stressed and not eating good and it needs to stop. I'm totally a stress eater. Also, i never knew working full time and going to school full time would be so hard, i guess i thought i was a bad ass but i'm not!

You best be careful with the stress eating! When I saw the PS he said he would only do a TT if you maintained weight for 3 months... if you lost or gained you had to wait!! :-) His reason was it gives the best result.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Extended TT, lipo, fat injections - 11/2011

BA/BL/Arm Lift - 7/2014

Scar revision on arms - 3/2015

HALO laser on arms/neck 9/2016

Thigh Lift 10/2020

Thigh Lift revision 10/2021

That makes so much sense, i actually want to lose like 15 pounds before TT because ive been stalled forever (which is probably because of the stress eating!) The plastic surgeon i chose didn't even weigh me the first time i saw him, i wonder if he will at my pre op visit!

They didnt weigh me either if I remember correctly, but I just went for a consult and they asked my weight. The PS also said you shouldnt do a TT if you want to lose more weight, unless you need a TT to do so... he said if you get a TT then lose more weight the skin may wrinkle/pucker... since they can only make it so tight and typically the skin is damaged if you lose after that you may need further work - thats something to talk to him about too! My friend has had 3 rounds of PS... she has lost 30lbs since her first round of PS well over a year ago. She carried most of her weight in her arms and legs and just had to have revisions done on both areas.... she also had to have some lipo done and is wanting a butt lift because its started to sag back down.. some of it is related to her losing additional weight, others related to what typically happens after PS - things start to relax and untighten some.. I will say her TT still looks excellent and that was the first surgery she had!

you certainly may! i am not self paying, my moms insurance covers the surgery since i lost a certain amount of weight and it's been over 6 months. But i only have it for so long so i have to get it done soon!

Hey Reese...I just had my tummy tuck and lipo a few weeks ago... don't be nervous... just be...aware! I knew it would hurt but I didn't expect the same kind of soreness of not being able to stand up straight or turn side to side, trying to uncrinkle... and the icky drains! I still am stuck with one drain almost one month later and a binder that I have to suck in until I can't breathe! I love it though! One week later when some swelling started to go away I was just so happy! It sucks, but what plastic surgery doesn't... beauty IS pain! :) I want my thighs done so I will be back under... maybe a boob lift.. all in time! I am pretty fresh on this so if your ever inquisitive, don't hesitate!

I had mine 2 months ago and am very happy with it. Just hang in there - the time will come soon enough, and then the day after you'll be thinking "what the heck have I done." But it gets better and you'll have an awesome looking tummy!
