need some advice
ok. I'm scheduled for surgery on June 24th, one week from tomarrow. While I am excited and everything I'm trying to get prepared... you know do all the laundry and grocery shopping... first of all I was wondering which Protein Powder/ Suppliment you prefer to add to your food? And also any advice on what to do now.... you know what did you do to prepare?
Any response is welcome. Thanks
Victoria

I used to mix an unflavored protein powder into soft foods to boost their protien content. The brand I used was called Any Whey. I bought mine at GNC, but you can also google it and find it online from 16 dollars a bottle on up....One bottle has thirty scoops with 17g of protein each.
Here is a picture of the bottle and some more info from one of the sites that retails it:

Manufacturer's Directions: To improve the overall nutrient profile of your favorite foods or simply increase your total daily protein consumption, simply add one level scoop (included) of 100% ANY WHEY Protein to any of your favorite foods. This product is instantized so it will mix easily with any liquid or semisolid food items. Slowly add one serving of the 100% ANY WHEY Protein to the food item under gentle agitation with a spoon. When adding to heated items it is generally better to stir this product in at the end of the cooking cycle. Doing so will minimize denaturing of the protein and improve the consistency of the end result. |
Hi Victoria!
My surgery is on the same day! While i haven't tasted any of the protein supplements that i bought, others have said they are the tastiest... plus your taste buds can change after surgery. anyway, i bought Unjury unflavored powder online right at the unjury website. i figured it would be good to add to just about anything. i also bought some shakes right at walmart. i bought the EAS myoplex light and slim fast carb control. if you dont like the creamy feeling i know there is a fruit drink that is ok called isopure... they sell that at GNC. Well, let me know how everything goes for you and good luck!
