To be or not to be...that is the question!?

Okay...so I have a couple questions. As I sit here sipping on some Diet Mountain Dew. Caffeine headache. Ugh. So thought it'd work. I rarely have soda though. Too bubbly. And on to the questions! 1. Is it more important to count calories or watch out more for carbs? How many carbs are okay for one day? 2. Does anyone know of a CHEAP whey or soy protein? I have to start doing it. I don't feel I'm eating enough protein anymore. I'm on a budget so the less expensive the better. I also can't find FREE samples anywhere! 3. And lastly..does anyone know of any petite vitamins? I have the hardest time swallowing pills even cut in half because of the rough edges. Right now I am taking Vitamin C and a child multivitamin(a couple times a day). I know I need more, but can't find any petite ones. HELP! Haha. I also wanted to thank everyone for their support with my melt down last night! Those pictures are just a new starting point. I will change my lifestyle yet again to try and lose this weight. I've just learned that we can't get complacent. CAN'T! I love this site and it has guided me through so many issues. I love you all!<3

1. I'm a firm believer in calories in ,calories out so I think it is more important to count calories. also I don't restrict my carbs but I do make sure to get my protien in first. 2. Genisoy is pretty cheap, but be warned it tastes horrible, and makes me gag. 3. if you find any please let me know. I'm in the same boat.

You and that Mountain Dew.... 1.  I totally watch my carbs.  If I have alot, I'm tired and achy alllll dang day.  I do watch my Calories as well since I'm working out so much. 2.  I get all my protein from Wally World.  LOVE it.  And get Whey... not Soy.  Because I said so :D  If you do get your powder from GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, etc, they generally take the product back if you don't like it. 3. Walmart, again, has loooots of chewable pills!

Welcome back, love.

1. Is it more important to count calories or watch out more for carbs? How many carbs are okay for one day? I think its important to eat balanced - you cannot jus****ch calories OR carbs - you have to watch the calories and see where they are comming from by keeping track of protein, fat and carbs. As for how many carbs are ok in a day it depends on who you listen to - many studies show that a healthy adult needs a MINIMUM of 100g carbs a day for healthy brain, body function - however many surgeon/NUTs severly limit carbs for life. Either way my NUT calls for a breakdown of calories as follows: to lose weight - 40% protein, 30% fat, 30% carbs to maintain weight - 30% protein, 30% fat, 40% carbs Currently I eat 1400-1600 calories a day and approx 180g carbs or so. Keep in mind carbs come from fruits, veggies, dairy as well as grains/starch 2. Does anyone know of a CHEAP whey or soy protein? I have to start doing it. I don't feel I'm eating enough protein anymore. I'm on a budget so the less expensive the better. I also can't find FREE samples anywhere! I used BioChems 100% Whey Protein - it was only 11 or 12$ a can and tasty. I also like Designer Wheys protein which was around the same price. 3. And lastly..does anyone know of any petite vitamins? I have the hardest time swallowing pills even cut in half because of the rough edges. Right now I am taking Vitamin C and a child multivitamin(a couple times a day). I know I need more, but can't find any petite ones. HELP! Haha. No I dont, sorry!

Not that I'm really one that is great at knowing all this, I just wanted to tell you about some vitamins I found. For Calcium, I'm taking Citrical Petites.  They aren't super small, but definitely smaller than anything else I had. For multivitamin, I still take my One a Day's (twice a day) but sometimes will throw in a gummi vitamin (for adults) that I found at Walgreens.  They are called Vital 8 (more like an infinity sign).  I made sure that they were formulated for adults, and sometimes in the morning if my stomach is bothering me I'll take a gummi one, instead of a pill, because I will gag if I take the pill one.  They come in a container with 60, for about 8 bucks...not super cheap, but I don't eat them all the time.  But it's good for a little change. Hope that helps a little at least...

1.  Carbs, because all calories are not created equal (as per my nut and my own personal experience).  Carbs are worthless calories for the most part that your body cannot adequately process, so they end up getting stored as fat and making your hungry again sooner.  Protien first, complex carbs (veggies, fruits and whole grains) next. 2.  If you eat less carbs you'll have more room for naturally occuring protien - meat, nuts, beans, cheeses - all kinds of good options.  For myself, I haven't had trouble getting protien from food, and besides protien supplements are expensive and I think they are gross. 3.  There are liquid vitamins out there.  Check Walgreens or GNC.
