Hey all!! My name is Megan, I'm 21 and I had my lap RNY on 12/11/07. I really do feel that this surgery saved my life. I'm posting on here to meet some new people. Have some new people to talk to. So, how are you all? When did you have your surgery? How has it been for you??

Hi Megan!  I'm 24, had surgery January 6, 2006... The surgery saved my life too, its hard to believe I only have one year left of what I thought would be my end point...crazy!!!! Hop right in!

Hey Megan,  I'm Mike and I live in Gilbert, there's actually a few of us on this forum from the Valley of the Sun, and a few more twentysomethings at the support group I attend at Banner Gateway on Higley and US60. I actually had my surgery at Duke University when I live on the east coast. I've gone from 297 to 163 lbs and it has been phenonomenal. I also feel like it has saved my life. I had already begun to go down a long road of complications from my morbid obesity including diabetes, sleep apnea, and high cholestorol - all of which are resolved now. I had sever asthma which is practically non-existent now, and my back hurt so bad from herniated discs that I couldn't work and could barely walk - that has improved a lot too... Hi Megan! Im only 20 and having the surgery on June 24, less than two weeks away! I'll let you know how it goes and if I find helpful tips!

Hey! Welcome to the fam!! =]] I'm Holly and I'm 22. I had my RNY on April 11, 08 and it's been a rollercoaster ride ever since. But I wouldn't change my decision to have the surgery for the world!
