Sorry I haven't been around much....

After finding out on Wednesday that my mom's biopsies came back positive I was on a flight the next morning to head back to Indiana and haven't really been on my computer since!!  I feel like I'm missing out!!!!!!!!!!! My mom goes in for her lumpectomy tomorrow morning!  We went wig shopping today since she will start chemo in about 4 weeks and wants to get her hair all chopped off before the chemo makes it fall out.  Very brave in my opinion, and good to be the one in control of when the hair is gone!!!  I hear losing your hair can be traumatic, so I'm glad she won't have to go through it falling out in chunks, although I'm sure buzzing it off won't be too easy either.  I have some great pictures I will post of me wearing her wig...it actually is SUCH a cute hairstyle!  When I get back from the camp I'm working at I think I might get my hair cut like that...so my Mom and I will have the same hair!!! :)  Man I love her so much and hope everything is going to be okay.  She is so strong and I admire her for being so brave through all of this.  I will  be posting the pictures soon of our wig shopping! Hope all is well with you all...things are going pretty well (or as well as can be expected)  Laughter is the best medicine!  We are laughing and having a lot of fun.  My family is quite a hilarious group so it's been fun. I'm still doing well not drinking any pop...brock and i are having a little bet and I'm planning on kicking his booty.... :) I leave on Friday morning to head out to the east coast!!!!  Gonna make a detour to say hello to one of our very own OH members, Josh.  Should be a good time!  Then Sunday I'm off to Hinsdale Mass to work at Camp Taconic as the Assistant Art director.  I will probably not be around too much once I'm there, just know I'm thinking about you all!!!  Hope you're all doing great and I will try to get online as much as possible!!! I have every confidence things will go well for your mom!  I know some women who fought it off, and it was easy-peazy-lemon squeazy!

Take your time, chick.  Your mother has a great mindset and ovbiously a great support system... I'm with Brock, she's totally gonna beat this and dance forever. Enjoy camp and your new hair do when you get it :)

You are amazing.  I'm glad you got to spend some fun time with your mom and family, you're right that it is excellent medicine for everyone.  I'm praying for your mom and family through this.  Have fun visiting Josh and at camp
