Kinda Discouraging.....
Hey Loves! What's up with the lack of weightloss and partial gain when one starts a real workout?
I've been working hard every day, eating right, drinking, etc etc and nothing has changed... except I'm sore and tired lol. Although a bit more flexible! :)
I know I've heard about the weight gain when a routine was in its first stages, but I have forgotten why...
* Fluid build up from exhertion?
* Muscle can't be made already, can it?

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.
I'm doing summer classes too. I started two teaching classes on the 19th and they get done this Thursday, then the Monday after that I have to take a media class, then psychology of learning...on and on it goes!
I just have to say that I really admire you. That is a lot of work and I believe that you are going to see results It may just be taking your body a while to get with the program, but no way is all of that work going to be in vain. Have you taken any measurements? Maybe it is time to get out a tape measure and measure your waist, thighs, arms, butt and so on - and when the scale stops next time you can pull out the tape measure and see your success in inches.
You go girl! You can do it!
Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
Sure have! Monday will be the start of week Four in my "To Be Hotter Endeavor" lol. I took measurements and what not three weeks ago... maybe I'll redo them Monday morning.
I have alot on my plate... but I'm taking advantage of the no job thing. I'm actively searching, don't get me wrong, but I want to get more done with school and up my muscle tone and body outlook as well. I definately suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder and hope that the before pictures I took Friday will help me in seeing the end results when Fall Classes Start.

First of all Jacy, you already are hot. So, maybe you should call this The Hotter Then Ever Endeaver....I've been told it is not possible too lose weight and add muscle at the same time. I don't know if that is true or not , but it kinda of makes sense to me. One thing that I do no is that I'm much better about drinking all the water I am supposed to when I'm focused, like I am when I start a new exercise routine. So, usually the added water just kind of brings my weight up a little bit from a weight that was already a little artifiically low to begin with because of dehydration. Does that make sense....Anyway, keep at it, and I know you will do fine! Boot Camp? Do they yell at you? i would probably laugh in the guys' face if they did that to me! I'm so disrespectful!
Aww, thanks Michael. I hear the words, but unfortunately, I don't see it.. ya know?
My bootcamp is just entitled Bootcamp- the course is rigorous... day one she's like go run 2 miles, um, excuse me? and the instructor is this hecka tiny hispanic lady; too cute!
This body hasn't run in nearly 10 years! lol

First - muscle does NOT weigh more than fat... a pound is a pound - its like the old question which weighs more - a pound of feathers or a pound of bricks? Well, they weight the same...
However muscle is more dense than fat... to show an actucal increase at the scale due to weight training/working out it would take a lot of muscle.
Eitherway, you are retaining water and it should drop back off.. you also have changed your routine and kicked it up a notch which can always make the body 'freak out' a little and change the scale. Always always always keep track of inches during these times... you can really see the biggest changes there - its more then just what the scale says. I have been the same weight since Feb but yet some of my clothes got bigger.
