Cheaper Daily Antacid....

Every surgeon is different but mine required me to take a daily acid-preventer each day for the first year to help reduce the risk of ulcers in the new pouch. He wrote me a prescription for Protonix, but told me Prilosec OTC would be fine as a substitute if the Protonix was too expensive, which it was ($45/month with insurance) So I started using the Prilosec OTC. At Costco it cost around $25 for 42 of them. Now Costco has their own brand for only $18.99 for 42 pills. Just thought I would share, since we can all stand to save a few bucks to offset what were dropping down at the gas station now adays. Here is what to look for: Kirkland Signature? Omeprazole 20 mg Delayed Release Tablets

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.

Sams Club has their own brand of the "Omeprazole" too. Oh... and apparently Protonix recently came out in generic? I'd already switched over to Prilosec cause my insurance was changing... however, I got an email about the generic Protonix from my previous insurance company. Did that make sense? I'm tryin', but I'm braindead!

That does make sense, and if it is available in generic it would be cheaper for me, usually only ten bucks a month, I just need to check and see. Thanks for the info.
