You May Have Lost More Sizes Than You Think!!
I am a shop-a-holic this weekend. I love holiday weekends for this reason. I hate them because I never do anything fun like go to the beach like everyone else but I digress!
Anyway, I went to Torrid.com which was my go-to store as a plus-size gal. Lane Bryant was too old lady (and expensive) for anything other than tees. Well, they had 50% off clearance so I took a look. I used to hate clearance sales because 20's and 22's were the popular sizes and were ALWAYS sold out. There was always 12's and 14's left and I scoffed because why would a size 14 shop at a plus size store?
So today I found this really cute light grey suit jacket and pencil skirt that would be perfect for an interview (or if I get that dream job, perfect for working there), plus it's light since it's so dang hot here already. I was ready to pick up an 18 when I thought to check the size chart (this being plus and not missy sizes).
Holy Tamale, I'm a size 14 at Torrid!!!!! This makes me all-the-more thrilled because that means in terms of Torrid sizing I have actually gone from a 24/26 to a 14 (not just an 18). Wheeeee!
So if any of you have a similar experience, you may have lost more sizes than you think!
Thanks. The dream job is not your typical dream job but it is for me since mine is going to India at the end of June. It wouldn't be a pay cut, it's close to the house and clildcare, and it's a foot in the door of a company I can really move up at. It's for a utilities billing company (I haven't been specific online just in case, you know people can check out everything you do online these days especially when you're job hunting).
Like I said, it's not glamorous but it IS what I really want to do. I've interviewed once but they picked an internal candidate. They're hiring for a lot of positions though so I just keep applying!
actually i had something similar happen the other day!!

and I ran here and posted about it haha!
personally i have gone from a 28 to a 20 at LB in pants, too, I am a 18 shirt at LB too.
I feel like we are also more likely to wear clothing that is too big just because we feel like there is no way that i can fit in that size!!
