WAITING........and WANTING TO KNOW EVERYONE

Sooooo...I got my cardiac clearance today and I made the receptionist fax the clearance to my doctor infront of me lol..I bet she thought I was a real *****but oh well..This was the last piece of the puzzel Ithat i needed so I apologized if i seemed pushy..so I called my doc to see if they got it and they did and they are going to give it to there insurance speacialist and she is going to call me monday for my date! YAY...soooooooooo exciting!  also I want to know something about EVERYONE on here =D so I have some questions almost like a quiz and if you don't mind just copy paste and fill it out =D 1, Where ya from? (I work for DIRECTV, I'm a customer service Rep, and I'm contemplating going back to beauty school acter my surgery so I can stand to stand for long periods of time 8, If you have a significant other How long have you been together and has your surgery affected your relationship? ( 4 years and he is afraid I am going to leave him after I have my surgery         =( Anyone else have that problem?) 10, Where is your favority place to shop, before and after surgery (myelf ebay, torrid, goodys, lane bryant, fashion bug, old navy, and walmart I'm a clothing freak I always get complimented for dressing so well for being "heavy" and I guess I can say thank you to that..if not I do anyways lol. 11, Have you ever been told that you have such a pretty face, if you would just take off the weight? YES AND I HATED EVERY TIME I HEARD IT AND IF I HAD A DOLLAR FOR EVERY TIME SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT I WOULD BE A HUNDREDAIRE LOL 12, Have your friends treated you differently or have you lost friends from surgery 13, Have you ran into anyone from high school yet and them not recognize you? 5, What is your most embarrassing thing that has happen to you due to being over weight ( There are too many to count, but I hate to go anywhere anymore. I take my son to the park every weekend and all of the other mommies there wouldnt talk to me or even acknowledge I was even there)

7, What do you do. (I am a Stay at home momma, but after I have the surgery in October I am going to Cosmetology school. I have always wanted to go but for one I wanted to be with my son the first year or 2 of his life and 2. I am too embarrased to go yet.

8, If you have a significant other How long have you been together and has your surgery affected your relationship? ( I have been with my hubby 3 years and married for almost 2. He also is scared that I will leave him after... Guys I swear. I couldnt imagine leaving him. Dumbass! lol 
10, Where is your favority place to shop, before and after surgery (I like torrid, cato and lane bryant. But I dont even shop there anymore. Cant wait to shop at express and AE again! 
11, Have you ever been told that you have such a pretty face, if you would just take off the weight?  All the time... 12, Have your friends treated you differently or have you lost friends from surgery. Since I havent had the surgery yet, no, but I did lose friends after I got married and pregnant.. *****es!

14, What is your addiction? Lancome makeup, Coach, D&B, But mostly I spoil my son. He is only a little over a year and he has already had 3 pairs of jordans, 2 pairs of nikes, 2 pumas, and 1 pair of DCs.... He likes shoes too.

I have never regretted my surgery, if it had not been for the surgery, I would probably be over 400 lbs by now 3, What is your favorite food before and after surgery?  Before surgery Pizza, and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, now Chicken and Cottage Cheese for a treat i love snackwell sugar free lemon sandwhich cookies 4, What has been your biggest accomplisment since surgery that you COULDN''T do before surgery?  well last night i fit into a normal peoples gown that was cool, I am planning a trip to six flags which is something I couldnt have done before surgery, and I wore a dress when i graduated and i wouldnt have done that b4 surgery 5, What is your most embarrassing thing that has happen to you due to being over weight?  I had a lot of boy related problems, being picked on a lot in school 6, Did you have any complications with surgery ?  Nope none, surgery was Tuesday morning, I went home friday afternoon 7, What do you do?  I just graduated UM-Flint with my bachelor's degree, I am looking for a job, I just started taking Yoga classes :) 8, If you have a significant other How long have you been together and has your surgery affected your relationship? Yes, I am married, we started dating in Jan. 2002, got married Dec. 10 2004.  My surgery has affected my relationship, my husband said it made a sexy beautiful woman more so, lol he is a lot more affectionate. 10, Where is your favority place to shop, before and after surgery Before, pretty much limited to Lane Bryant, now I shop at Goodwill haha, and a bit at WalMart 11, Have you ever been told that you have such a pretty face, if you would just take off the weight? Yes, thankfully now I get OMG you weighed how much I never would have guessed that! 12, Have your friends treated you differently or have you lost friends from surgery?  no as of right now my one really good friend just jokes that she didnt sign up for me to being littler than her, shes great and I am really lucky, but I don't really have a lot of friends haha 13, Have you ran into anyone from high school yet and them not recognize you? Or have you ran into that boy that you were crushing on and actually have them hit on you? nope, I try not to see people i went to highschool, besides my friend Trevor 14, What is your addiction? since the surgery i have felt way more girlie, and i love pampering myself now so i have to get my nails done, and i love going to the spa that is an expensive habbit!!

Nice to meet you.  I hope everything goes smoothy for you from here on out.  1, Where ya from? -Wisconsin 2, If you have had surgery have you ever regretted doing it? -No.  Early out I had the "what the heck did I do" but it passed quickly.
3, What is your favorite food before and after surgery? -Before surgery:  Culver's chili cheese dog with fries...I could have eaten that every day -After surgery:  Um....I like lots of foods - I love grilled chicken thigh, thin-cut ribeye steak med-rare, peppers (green, red and yellow), fruits (strawberries and pineapple particularly) and I still enjoy pizza and other things like that.  
4, What has been your biggest accomplisment since surgery that you COULDN''T do before surgery? -I just live my life without having to worry about weight restrictions.  I run, jump, sit, crawl, walk, climb and do whatever else without concern.

5, What is your most embarrassing thing that has happen to you due to being over weight? -Oh geeze...not fitting in desks at college, having to get off of rides at Disney (heck, having to go through the handicapped line to get in to Disney because I couldn't tip toe myself over the turn style) in front of my high school classmates because I couldn't fit, and just plain old being humiliated by cruel people. 
6, Did you have any complications with surgery 
-Yes.  It is a long story - see the blog. - 4 surgeries, lots of time in the hospital, some scary moments and some serious pain.  It all turned out okay though and I would hop on the table to have my RNY again in a second, even knowing I would go through what I did. 
7, What do you do.  -I am a full time college student.  I've got a double major:  History and Broadfield Social Studies Education with emphasies in geography, economics, political science, psychology and sociology.  I hope to graduate next spring after a 5th year of school. 8, If you have a significant other How long have you been together and has your surgery affected your relationship?  -This is another long story.  I have been with the man I am married to for 8 years - 5 years by the time I had my bypass.  We had some tough stuff after my surgery, both because of the changes I went through and because of some other things - but I love Kyle more than ever.  When I was 300 pounds and hated myself, he treated me like I was the prettiest girl in the room and he still does.  He took excellent care of me during my complication and has been supportive of my surgery choice and has been understanding as I have adjusted to living the life surgery helped me get to.  I am lucky to have him.
10, Where is your favority place to shop, before and after surgery -Before surgery - no where.  I shopped at Fashion Bug because I had to dress myself and they had stuff that fit, but shopping for clothes made me so so so so depressed. -After surgery - I love Old Navy and TJ Maxx, cute cothes and good deals!

11, Have you ever been told that you have such a pretty face, if you would just take off the weight? -No. It was more like "I am not attracted to you like that, but you have a really awesome personality..."

12, Have your friends treated you differently or have you lost friends from surgery
-Ummm....
13, Have you ran into anyone from high school yet and them not recognize you? Or have you ran into that boy that you were crushing on and actually have them hit on you? -YES!  He was and still is gorgeous, and I was in a gas station in our home town over the summer last summer, dressed in a cute halter top and brown skirt (I was in between a wedding and the reception, getting a pack of gum and filling up the car) and felt so good about myself - and he got in line behind me and did about seven double takes.  It was AWESOME.  He didn't hit on me, but he did say increduously "Amy?" and I just smiled really big and walked away.
14, What is your addiction? -Coffee.  Espresso actually, but either way, I am hooked.  And I go through stages of other stuff - for example - TLC honey almond flax granola bars, Obesity Help and ballet flats.

2, If you have had surgery have you ever regretted doing it? Not once, not even when i was curled over in pain because i ate too much!

3, What is your favorite food before and after surgery:  Pizza Hut Pan Pizza mmmm ( i still have it once in a while) and Chips off all sorts. After: Beef Jerky, Cottage cheese with pineapple and soy chips ( i still love chips and they are an evil evil enemy)

4, What has been your biggest accomplisment since surgery that you COULDN''T do before surgery: I would say work out at a gym without feeling completely embarassed, and also being able to walk into a room confident and happy and not trying to hide from everyone.

5, What is your most embarrassing thing that has happen to you due to being over weight : I would probably say just kids being mean when i was younger, kids are awful. And also going into Lane Bryant. I loved it don't get me wrong, but everytime i walked in i didn't want people to see me.

6, Did you have any complications with surgery: Nope! I don't even dump ( this is a blessing and a curse)

7, What do you do.  I work for a non profit organization, doing Advertising and Journalism stuff. I am going back to school in just over a week. UGHH ( i dont know why!) To take some pre reqs i didnt have to take at my University in Michigan in hopes i can get into this nursing school here in Houston. I've decided i want to help people after surgery the same why my nurses helped me!

8, If you have a significant other How long have you been together and has your surgery affected your relationship?  I've been with my man about 7 months and i had lost a lot of weight before i met him and strangely enought havent lost too much since i met him! He is totally supportive and i didnt know him before so nothing changed much!

10, Where is your favority place to shop, before and after surgery: Before: Lane Bryant & Old Navy, After: Express, Old Navy, KOHLS!
11, Have you ever been told that you have such a pretty face, if you would just take off the weight? Never! I guess i was lucky, but i know people were thinking it.

12, Have your friends treated you differently or have you lost friends from surgery: Nooo, all my friends are totally supportave. I am super lucky!

Great Questions! 1, Where ya from?  * Livingston, California... basically a little dot on the map with a Starbucks! 2, If you have had surgery have you ever regretted doing it?  * Not at all.  Of course I've had my moments... but this has been the best decision I've ever made, and probably will make. 3, What is your favorite food before and after surgery  * BEFORE: Anything at Home Town Buffet.  That place was my home away from home.  Yumm. * AFTER: Bagel Bites- the Sausage, Pepperoni and Cheese Ones... 4, There was nothing I 'couldnt' do before surgery - I never really let my weight hold me back. I was too heavy to sky dive and that is still something I want to do, so that would be really the only thing!

10, Favorite place pre-op? I didnt have a favorite because there were only a very few choices - Lane Bryant was where most of my clothes came from. Post-op - everyplace is my favorite!! lol

12, Most definately... 98% of my friends relationships didnt change... two of them changed dramatically - one friend herself is overweight and she is extremely jealous. another friend is 6 years post-op and stopped talking to me.. I had gone from being a friend to being 'competition' to her when I started to lose weight.

13, I was up and down weight most of my life... many people did not see me at my heaviest, some people met me when I was skinnier due to diet pills... some dont recognize me but even without the weight I look a lot different than when I was in HS - it took me a while to 'blossom'.

14, Right now... getting plastic surgery. I think about it every day, even a few times a day... I pray to God at night to make it workout that I can get something done on or around my 30th bday in Feb. Its definately my main obsession right now.
