Okay, so I'm restarting the medical clearance process, I had done it all once before but I chickened out, I've gained 30 MORE lbs since then and I need to do this. So, anyway, on the 7th of May, I met with the bariatric consultant thats a part of the surgeon's office, and she said that she'd talk to the Dr, have him review my chart and that he would decide which clearances I needed to repeat because the ones from before were almost 2 years old. I talked to her again today, and she said that the only ones they wanted me to repeat were the cardiac and the pulmonary, and said to meet with her next tuesday so that we could go over everything, and I said, sure but do you think that there is any way we could meet earlier, and she said, no, that they wouldn't even be able to get me on the surgery schedule for a COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!! OH EM GEEEEE!!! Couple of weeks, HUH! omg I was expecting a couple of MONTHS! This is so incredibly exciting and terrifying! What do I do?! How should I start to prepare myself?! Someone purrty please, talk to me! :D

Get into the mindset now.  Get everything ready and in order- brush on your knowledge.  Start eating correctly- it'll help you heal and you'll already be on the correct path! :)

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.

Before your surgery I would suggest to find a protien drink that tastes somewhat good,  since that is what you will be drinking for the first couple of weeks. What helped me out during that stage was muscle max protien powder that I would mix with water in a bullet. I also drank profect which you can get online that gives you 25 grams of protein and much easier to drink in the 1st phase. I would also get all my vitimans since they act like treats during your liquid diet phase. I would also buy some chapstick cause your lips dry out. Most importantly be excited it is the best feeling! ~Diana~

Get ready for the ride! Take some official before pics and measurements and like Diana said grab a few different kinds of protein drinks - you don't want to get bored of the same flavors, AND your taste may strangely change right after surgery...

Nothing to be ashamed of, it was intended to take people's minds to the gutter It could have said that.....but, I'm not that ****y! Don't worry, I'm dyslexic too...I hiked an hour out of my way this weekend because I thought a trail sign pointed to the "main trail"...nope, it said "Mail trail"
