Having a moment
So Sunday will be exactly 3 months since my RNY and I feel like I haven't lost as much as I should have. I am down 58lbs. and still feel as HUGE as I did when I went in for surgery. I still have a hard time looking in the mirror. Why? I just want to be able to shop at regular stores and not be limited to Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, or Torrid. I just had to vent a little.
it is going to take a long time for your mind to catch up to your body, I know mine has not caught up yet. I have lost 125lbs and i still see myself as fat and gross and i hate looking at myself in the mirror.
You will be able to shop at stores other than lane bryant and torrid that will come. And as far as how much weight you loose everyone loses at their own pace, and I am sure you are doing perfect, you surgeons office can probably let you know if you are on track. I know at my 3 month appointment i was shy by like 5lbs, and at my 6 months i was ahead by almost 10, so just dont worry and continue doing what you have been doing.

LilLoveBug, it is funny that you mention this topic. First let me congradulate you for your loss of 58 pounds in 3 months
. Girl that is like loosing a 7 or 8 year old. Give yourself about 5 more months and you will be able to see the results and shop at any store that you have always wanted to shop at. It took me about a year to actually go into a trendy clothing store and try on different sizes and telling myself hey I am not that size 26 anymore. Till this day I still see myself bigger than I am and pick up clothes that I swim in. Most of the time I have to take a picture of myself and ask people if I really look like that picture. It is amazing how the mind works throughout the weight loss process.
You will be there in no time clothing shopping and having your real first cry that you can fit into something.
Keep up the good work!
~Diana~
