like, your in-between clothes.  I'm starting off at about a size 20 here, and have stuff in my closet down to a couple things in 16...but nothing after that. Did you guys rummage sale/yard sale it? (they suck around here) goodwill? (that sucks here too, everything is just as expensive and a new store price, go fig!) or what? borrow? just wear stretchy things?? inquiring minds want to know!! : )

I mostly shopped at Target... they always have great stuff cheap and a wide variety of sizes.. the juniors sizes are nice for when you are in between and they clearance stuff out like crazy! Old Navy use to be a favorite as well... as I got smaller I found their clothes do not fit me right but still go there for jammies, tanks, tshirts and stuff like that.  A lot of stores at the mall will send you coupons like crazy - NY&Co, The Limited, Express, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft... when you can fit into the sizes just sign up at the store to get their emails/mailings and you will be in coupon heaven - if you shop the sales/clearance and use the coupons you can get good clothes cheap. TJMaxx and Marshalls were always a fav - TJMaxx carries a lot of The Limited clothes... Ive bought a lot of work pants there as well as shirts... and of course shoes :-) If you have a Steve & Barrys they are super cheap and carry SJPs line Bitten, Amanda Bines line Dear and some new line by Serena Williams is comming out too.  Basically just buy a few cheap staples - for a long time I owned 2 pairs of black pants (for work) and 1-2 pairs of jeans and just wore them over and over again... I was able to wear tops longer so I would invest a little more but overall just wore the same ole stuff again and again. I was never big on digging thru goodwill, too annoying and would rather just shop at normal places and find the good deals there. We also have some 'teen' thrift stores that carried only name brands and the current styles so I would swing by there a lot for pants (could never fit into those teeny shirts they wear!!).  Start looking around the mall/stores and see what size they carry up to - you would be surpised at the options you will have once you get down into the teen sizes... many places carry up to a 16, many times up to an 18... so you will have more options then just places like Lane Bryant.

ok let see waht am i doing, well until i get to the stores i just wear big ole clothes lol. ok goodwill sucks they are just too expensive, but can you look at a different resale shop. or ross or marshalls is always good. or look at the walmart and target clearence racks. another good thing is if you get to know anybody else that had the surgery then you can barrow clothes. look on craigslist, and ebay for bargains. good luck

I got kind of lucky.  My sister had RNY 3 years ago, and up until my surgery has maintained a size 18.  I started at 26/28, and I wore that stuff until about a month ago.  Aside from pants, the shirts just started looking BETTER on me!  I did a few outlet shopping, but by the time I remembered I had bought pants in that size, they were too big.  Now I'm in an 18/20, and can wear my sisters clothes.  Too bad that little ***** started losing weight again too, and is still smaller than me!  LOL  I am catching up very quickly!  Just be careful what you buy!  I have honestly only spent about $20 on stuff I can no longer wear.  They still have tags!!  So, if anyone needs slacks, I have 2 pair of size 20's I can no longer wear.  About to have some 18's!  Let me know.  I have received a lot of things as hand me downs, so I don't really want to sell stuff.  You can have it!!

LOL well I'm in that phase where i'm changing sizes constantly, and i'm broke at the moment . So I tend to wear things untill they fall of my body. Literally I had a pair of jeans fall off yesterday. Thank god I was at home lol.  Other than that right now im not even trying to stay in fashion. I buy the cheapest jeans and t-shirts I can find, and that's it for right now.     most supprot groups have clothing exchanges, howeve I've found the ones in my areas only have clothes that a blind 80 year old would wear.LOL I look for sales in stores that I would normally shop in.

I know, it's tough.  For a while I had some smaller clothes to shrink into but a month or two ago I became too small for them too.  I agree with just getting a few staples.  At any given time I need 2 pairs of jeans and 1 pair of dress or black pants.  Shirts are a little more flexible.  I also layer and accessorize a lot so it doesn't look like I am wearing the same thing over and over.  And shoes always fit, so a different pair of shoes can make an outfit so different! As for places to shop I also rummage through places like TJ Maxx, Marshall's, and AJ Wright.  Usually they have pretty cheap stuff and both regular and plus sizes.  I also go through the clearance racks at Old Navy and stores like that.  All in all I really haven't spent too much money on new clothes.  I am probably not spending much more on clothes than I used to spent on junk food and restaurants!!! I did try to sell some clothes on ebay to try to fund a shopping spree for smaller clothes but I didn't have a ton of luck with that.  I sold some things but overall I didn't make too much money and it was a hassle for me to stay on top of all the auctions and ship everything out and all that (but I am lazy when it comes to that stuff, so other people probably aren't nearly as bothered).  But that is an option to try to make some extra cash!

I started out in a 28, I am now in a 20 pant and a 18 shirt, so I have dropped threw a few wardrobes, I love goodwill, pants are about 4.00 and shirts are around 2.00.  I rotate my wardrobe out like that there is also a concinment store that I shop at often they have lots of jeans :) I also dont keep a lot to be honest, I have like 3 pair of shorts 2 capries and about 6 shirts.  I know soon i will be returning these to goodwill (the people at goodwill know me by name and i have told them that i am just renting the clothing haha)

I go to Goodwill, I have to drive 2 and a half hours to go to a group of good ones in VA Beach, but it's worth it, I get jeans for 4 bucks a pair and most of them are brand new with tags still on and they also have a contract with Target down there so they get all of the clearance stuff to sell when target puts it out of stores.  So I get all sorts of stuff.  I have a family portrait shoot to do down there this week so i am heading there again to check out some sizes.  I need to get some 14's and 16's maybe even some 12's for the summer.  I am between a 16 and 18 right now down from 18-20 so I am hoping this summer i can get in a solid 14.
