Just wanted to say hello

Hi.... I'm new around here. My name's Victoria and I'm hoping to have a RNY soon.  We are getting ready to submit to the insurance company for the first time. I so hope I get approved quickly. Any advice on how to keep myself from going crazy while I am waiting would be excellent! Thanks... :)  Victoria

Welcome Victoria!  The waiting is awful, but well worth it.  Just keep your head focused :)

I passed the time by calling and pestering the insurance company everyday! It helped though, they eventually offered to put the claim into an expedited processing status - then things moved - I was approved two days later and even convinced them to fax the approval letter to the doc shaving a few more days off my wait for a surgery date...

man, i just went through all that, and i'm fairly new here too. the only advice i could give you is to surf profiles, laugh at the funny things people have on them, and make some new friends while you wait!! : )
