Research

Hi All! So in like 30 minutes I am leaving for the hospital to start my journey in the research study I am a part of. They are studying the correlation of obesity to diabetes and the effects weight loss and weight loss surgery have on diabetes. I will be there for 2 days while they take all my blood (seems like) and will do many tests on me. The one I am most looking forward to is what I call the bod pod, they measure your actual body mass and muscle mass and bone mass, all that stuff, pretty exciting. I am also getting my metabolic rates tested and so so much more. I am a little nervous, but I know that being a part of this study with the information they learn, I might be able to help others along the way. Then at the end of my 2 days I will get my surgery date!!! YAY!!! So anyway, I won't be back home until Tuesday night, I will update you when I get home!
