Hmmmm.... me thinks my tushy is taking up less room on the Losers Bench cause this morning my stubborn bathroom scale FINALLY admitted me to the Half-Century Club!

That darn lil piece of junk has been sticking at 250lbs forEVER, whilst my lovely gym scale handed me my membership card last week.  (I decided my first 50 lb loss wouldn't be official until the bathroom scale surrendered since that's the ghoul I battle more often!)

*INSERT EVIL VILLAN LAUGH HERE!  Hahahahahahahaha!    Oh bathroom scale, you cannot hide from the ever-shrinking HEATHER!!!!!!!!  You will surrender!!!!

Rockin' that 50lb loss mark and lovin it!!  But can I say that this is also slightly tinged with sadness because I just can't believe how fat I let myself get?  How did I not see the gigantic disgustingness of what I looked like "Before"?

Hm.  Now I  need some help and inspiration in deciding how to celebrate my entry into the Half-Century Club!

YAY!  Congrats!  For a Fifty Celebration I bought me some stuff I should have had from the beginning- a blender, some exercise stuff.  That kept me motivated. Let us know how you celebrate!!

Thank you!!!  I still can't believe I've lost 50 lbs so quickly.  Is surgery the easy way out?  HECK NO!!!  But has this new lifestyle been easier for me than dieting?  HECK YES!!!  I am so excited about how much less torturous this is for me and that my surgery is actually - gasp! - working!   Hmm... how to celebrate.... I'm lovin' the idea of new shoes or a massage.  But in my heart, I'd really like to buy something that symbolizes such a big accomplishment, something that I can keep.   Jewelry perhaps? Heather

LOL, I see what you mean.  Fifty wasn't huge to me since I had 200 to lose and lost and gained it countless times before... but for my 100 pounds lost I bought myself an Ipod and had it engraved :)

For my 100 pound loss I got a tattoo on the top of my foot that says "Nouvelle" which is "new" in French along with a fleur-de-lis.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
