I have been playing around with this same weight for almost a week and a half, what gives?  Anyone experience anything similar?

Yup.  It happens.  Focus on eating well (which means getting enough calories, protien and so on), getting enough to drink (fat leaves your body through urine - so staying hydrated is key), exercising as you are able - and relax.  As long as you are doing what you are supposed to you'll lose.  You're body is probably just taking a week off to get used to things, so just relax, and look for success in other ways - how do you feel?  Are your clothes loose?  Are you off of meds?  Those are signs that your WLS is working as well.

Thanks. I am going to focus on getting my protein in and fluids. Also focus on making better choices with my food. Thanks again. Just needed some reassurance.

Don't sweat it. After losing 11 the first week, I was only -2 the second week after surgery and then pretty steadily until weeks of only -1 and -0 in weeks 8 and 9. Point being, it fluctuates. Amy is right on.

I'm in week four, and I had the same thing happen to me around weeks 2-3. When I went to see my nutritionist she suggested that I may be hanging onto a lot of water weight because of a lot of high sodium stuff I had been eating (lots of chicken noodle soup minus the noodles and a ton of miso soup!) After that I've tried to cut down on the sodium a bit more and have definitely noticed more pounds coming off! Hope that helps!

YES! It always seems to happen after about the first 3 weeks - rapid weight loss gives way to the first dreaded plateau....Just use the time to keep focused, and if you're feeling up to it and your doctotr has cleared you, then there's no time like now to start an exercise routine. Even a ltittle bit will help you feel better, physically and emotionally...
