Happy One Year Surgiversary to me!!! (plus one day)
I copied this to here from my blog...I cannot believe it has already been a year. I have gone through radical changes...Good though all of them!!
So I am a few days early but I wanted to post this while I had a few minutes. Life has changed so drastically much since my life altering surgery. My health has improved 100% I no longer have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, borderline diabetes. My vit levels are all good since my last check. I can keep up with my neices and nephew. Run them around the yard and play with them. My attitude has improved mentally. I use to be such a grouch all the time but that has really changed. I have found love! I am closer to my family members. I can shave my legs and not be exhausted afterwards...I can eat a normal range of foods (within reason of course) I still am off caffiene, don't drink sodas, love water with no flavor (that is all i drink)
Now for the physical changes...I have lost 118 lbs according to doctors scales, I am at a good weight of 168 lbs. I am in size 14 but can fit into size 12 pants!!!! just didn't have the money to buy the pants...but thrift store here i come! LOL I am in a M/L tops. from an all time high of verrry tight 26/28 size clothing...
I am going to the gym regularly and have really noticed changes in my body...firmer thighs, rounder butt, firmer arms...tmi i know...but have to record it all so I don't forget right?
I would have this surgery over again in a heart beat I have only had minor complications, Constipation problems (that are now solved thank goodness for Fibersure and Fiber one Bars...that are a God send!)
Life is definetely sweet and God is good and I am thankful for all the good things in my life and so ready for whatever comes next...
Thank God for Gastric Bypass!!!!
